Website for a new media-based company to showcase their amazing work
I was given the task of developing a tabbed menu and swiping actions for the mobile phone. I had a lot of scope to try new things and work closely with the lead designer on the project.
The challenge on the phone was to mimic the movement of the tabs on the desktop in the navigation(see below). When a navigation item was clicked it expands and forces the other navigation items off screen. I enjoyed working on this element of the project as it was tough and I learned alot.
The challenge of creating the tabbed menu was to have proper coordination between the tabs. For example when the tab Projects is open, the tab About must be closed however when About is open Projects must also be opened. This proved a challenging task but I believe the final product is enhanced by my final solution.
I am a designer-developer, working as a project lead at Dauntless. I enjoy the fusion of the creative and the technical. I love creating and implementing user-centered designs. I work closely with designers to constantly re-evaluate the design to ensure the best flow and usability. I strive daily to improve my skills and push the skills I do have to create stronger and better user experiences. At the end of the day, there is nothing like punching the air in celebration after solving a complicated problem.
I have many hobbies ballet, music, hiking, reading, drawing. I thoroughly enjoy traveling and learning new cultures, I have been to North America, Central America and all over Europe, Asia is next on my list.
